Often coalitions of interested groups, professional organizations and federal and state agencies
come together to address policy issues that focus on a single issues, or set of related issues.
Global Climate Change, Food Safety, the role of Environmental Health in Emergency Response, are all good examples of issues around which coalitions form. NEHA joins these coalition groups to represent the views and concerns of environmental health
professionals. In addition, participating in these coalitions helps
us provide information to the profession about the work
and recommendations coming from the coalitions and to ensure the environmental health perspective is
being considered.
