ABOUT THE POSITION/DEPARTMENT:
Elkhart County is accepting applications/resumes for positions in it Environmental Health Division. Position is responsible for evaluating food service establishments, soils and on-sit septic systems, ground water systems, and various public health complaints with respect to health issues. Excellent opportunity for advancement available. 

Elkhart County (pop. 190,000) is located in Northern Indiana, 3 hours north of Indianapolis and 2 hours east of Chicago. Immediate or later openings. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires BS/BS in Environmental Health, Biology, Chemical or Physical Science; 2 years experience evaluating food service sanitation, on-site septic systems, ground water systems, or public health complaints with respect to environmental concerns (exceptional candidate with degree and limited experience may be considered); registration as an environmental health specialist preferred; valid drivers license and reliable transportation; preemployment background check.
