ABOUT THE POSITION/DEPARTMENT:
The Florida Department of Health, Lee County Health Department, Environmental Health section is seeking an Environmental Specialist II professional to assist in performing the duties of the Environmental Health Group. These duties include but are not necessarily limited to Bio-Medical Waste, Body Piercing, MQA, Tanning, Indoor Air Quality, Group Care, Mobile Home/RV Parks, Migrant Labor Camps, Swimming Pools, Indoor Air, and Food Program. This professional Environmental Specialist II position functions independently and under the direction of the Supervisor of Community Environmental Health program for the Lee County Health Department, Division of Environmental Health. This is a full time, career service, State of Florida position with a salary of $1,549/biweekly with state benefits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in one of the physical sciences, life sciences or environmental science; or a
minimum of 30 semester hours, or equivalent in physical sciences, life sciences or environmental science. A Valid State of Florida driver's license is required. A Florida certification in food service or Registered Sanitarian is required.
