ABOUT THE POSITION:
NACCHO has an immediate opening for a 100% FTE Program Manager,
Environmental Health. This position is funded through a cooperative
agreement grant awarded by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC).
This Program Manager is a member of the Community Health primary work team,
and contributes to the advancement of local public health practice by
performing a variety of planning and program implementation, research, and
evaluation projects related to environmental health. The Program Manager
will be the lead program, budget and grants manager for NACCHO’s
environmental health projects. The Program Manager will also work closely
with the environmental health project staff to track and disseminate best
practices and develop related NACCHO projects accordingly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s
degree in relevant professional field with a minimum of 5-7 years experience
working on environmental health-related issues. Master’s degree in a
closely related field (e.g. public health, environmental health, etc)
preferred.
