ABOUT THE POSITION
The Department of Occupational Safety and Health is seeking to fill a full-time, nine month, tenure track faculty position to begin August 2013.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities: Full-time teaching and advisement of students in the occupational safety and health program. Related duties include recruitment of students, university service, scholarship/research, curriculum development, grant writing, and interaction with local industry.

Minimum Education Required: Doctorate in environmental health sciences or related field required and expected by August 2013. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
Minimum Experience Required: Candidate must be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate level coursework in environmental health sciences such as ventilation, pollution control technology and occupational health and safety. Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential to the successful candidate.
Preferred Education and/or Experience: Professional certifications are desirable. Experience in higher education, industrial training, and online teaching experience is desirable. Candidates with real-world experience in environmental management are preferred.
