The anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 annually, depending upon qualifications and experience.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Florida Department of Health seeks a person with notable environmental health experience to lead the Bureau of Environmental Health in the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. This position directs the overall statewide activities and programs for the Bureau of Environmental Health to ensure quality environmental public health services to decrease or eliminate the occurrence of preventable diseases and injuries; and to maintain investigation, and education of diseases of environmental origin. This position is also responsible to sustain and enhance communication within the Department of Health’s 67 county health departments to foster a ‘one team’ approach to environmental health processes and standards for program implementation and quality improvements.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in a public health discipline affiliated with environmental or public health. A Master in Public Health, Public Administration or related fields and/or credentialed as a Registered Sanitarian is preferred.
