ABOUT THE POSITION

The incumbent will provide assistance updating documentation and maintenance of a government agency EMS program in support of ISO 14001-2004 initiatives, including providing assistance during internal EMS audits. Typical assignments may include data collection and analysis; regulatory and mission risk analysis; communication and training strategies; requirements analysis; meetings and logistical support; and development of work plans. The position will involve updating the policy and documentation/initiatives associated with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) activities, such as assisting in conducting internal NEPA audits of service and office facilities in Washington D.C. and other locations as scheduled, and preparing audit reports. The incumbent will also prepare a variety of briefings and reports, assist with planning meetings, and other environmentally-related tasks.
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess mid-level experience (5+ years). Formal training in ISO 14001/EMS programs and certificate as NEPA Auditor preferred. Excellent Oral Communication skills are required. Bachelor of Science in environmental science, engineering, environmental health, or related science required. Masters degree in related science preferred. Candidate should be proficient in technical and non-technical writing. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be a U.S. citizen.
