Perform public health inspections and site evaluations; design and advise regarding on-site wastewater treatment systems; review subdivision applications for compliance; enforce provisions of laws; investigate communicable disease outbreaks, violations, and general sanitation complaints; provide information and educational support; and other duties as assigned/required.



Must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or the equivalent, as determined by the MT Board of Sanitarians, or current registration as an Environmental Health Specialist with the National Environmental Health Association, plus any additional requirement of the Board of Sanitarians. Must possess a valid driver's license, and be a licensed Montana Registered Sanitarian or obtain license within 6 months of hire.
