Certified Environmental Health Technician (CEHT) Credential
The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) originally offered the Certified Environmental Health Technician (CEHT) credential to meet the need for professionals with expertise in field intensive environmental health activities. NEHA’s Board of Directors recently met in Anaheim, California and decided to discontinue the CEHT examination because there was low demand from potential candidates.
There will not be the opportunity for new applicants to take the CEHT examination. However, the CEHT designation is still recognized and maintained by NEHA through its credential maintenance program. Many practicing CEHTs have chosen to maintain their credential through ongoing education and NEHA will continue to support CEHTs who hold the credential.
